Robbert Fossen

Robbert won several awards as (blues) singer. He won the Dutch Blues Challenge two times.
In 2013 he made it to the finals at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. In 2017 he reached the semi finals at the IBC.

The 2017 album 'Get Off On It' (Robbert Fossen Band) won an award as best Dutch Blues Album 2017. In Memphis it reached the finals of the 2018 IBC, being with the last five best self produced albums of the world.

Robbert has his own Robbert Fossen Band and is founder and bandleader of The Muddy Waters Tribute Band. He toured with US artists John Primer, Tail Dragger, Willie Buck, Melvia 'Chick' Rodgers and others.

Now he is founder of this Tony Joe White Tribute Band. He heard many many times that his deep voice reminds people of Tony Joe's voice and timbre.

Toured with BB King (support act), Chick Rodgers, Phil Bee’s Freedom, Magic Frankie, Robbert Fossen Band and John F. Klaver Band.
Award Winner Best Dutch Blues Keyboardist 2016, Award Winner Dutch Blues Band Challenge 2015.
He played on festivals in Memphis, Portugal, Curacao, Portugal, Leverkusen Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival.

Lothar 'Luther' Wijnvoord is a youngblood in the blues. Only 27 years old, he is one of the best Dutch blues guitarplayers. Both on acoustic and electric guitar he has an incredible depth in his playing. And he can play lot more styles than only blues. The soul in his playing makes him an outstanding young musician.

As being part of The Muddy Waters Tribute Band he toured with Chicago Blues Legends Tail Dragger and Willie Buck. As an 18 year old, he did a tour in Norway as guitarplayer in Melvia 'Chick' Rodgers' (Memphis) band.

The last eight years he is part of the Robbert Fossen Band.

But... with his own band 'Luthers' he is right on track to be one of the finest young bands in The Netherlands gaining popularity every show they do.

 

Marco Oonincx

Marco Oonincx has been active as a bass player since 1986 and has played on many national and international stages and festivals. Over the years he toured with different bands and artists, among others:
Magic Frankie, Ana Popovic, Ted Oberg , Tino Gonzales, Calvin Jackson, Corrina Greyson, Bandit, The Fortunate Sons (CCR-Tribute), Bo Brocken, Alides Hidding, JP-Band, Monty Amundson and many more..
He had to chance to play with Tony Joe White himself in Norway.

Ipo was born May 8th in the small town Wierden in the eastern part of The Netherlands. At an early age he started ‘drumming’ on pots and pans with the music his parents would love to listen to.
As a youngster he played in a drumband and soon after that the first drumkit came.
Ipo fel in love with the instrument instantly. At highschool he started playing in bands and from the age of 14 he hit the stages.
After highschool he went to the conservatory of Hilversum followed by a master study in amsterdam.
He found out to be at his best in the ‘backbone’ role in bands.
In the last 25 years Ipo played numerous gigs backing bands and artists like 16Down, Marieke Jager, Woodstock The Story, Lee Towers etc.
His primairy band for many years is the very popular CCR tribute band ‘The Fortunate Sons’.
Ipo participates in other projects and bands like Swamp Fox, the story of
Tony Joe White.
